Earthscape : Google-earth to the iPhone – Now Free
Earthscape is an incredible iPhone application that brings Google-earth to the iPhone which allows users to explore the planet in 3D and learn more about it by clicking on city names or over 300,000 geotagged Wikipedia links. It’ is normally sold for 10$ pricetag, but now for limited time its FREE. Earthscape Basic is available through the app store for the iPhone.
Earthscape puts a little globe in your pocket that you can spin around and zoom in to specific locations. It shows where you are based on your GPS coordinates, highlights locations with Wikipedia entries (and lets you read those entries as well) and flickr photos. Users can also take their own photos and add them to the application’s database.
