Detect invisible users in Google Talk ; gtalk ; chat
Many readers of the popular post Detect invisible users in yahoo messenger – 10 different ways – all working have requested a way to find invisible user in Gtalk. So follow the below steps to determine if the actual status of the user.
- Open a Chat window with the user, you want to check the actual status.
- Click on option and choose “Go Off the Record”.
- Now message the user, some Hi or anything
- If you get receive error message in red “<username> did not receive your chat”, that means the user is offline
- If you didn’t get any message in red, that means user is online in invisible mode.

how to detect invisibility in google’s (gtalk);
if any Idea please let me know, b’coz i observed that most of my friends stay in the offline mode when they are on work… but i could not recognize them…. please let me know if any body

Here is a perl script to find invisible users in gmail. It checks for all users in your contacts. You dont need to send any offlines in this method.

I have made a small java program which can find invisible users/buddies in gmail and users/buddy who has blocked you in gmail easily.
