SP2 supports new types of hardware and emerging hardware standards and includesWindows vista service pack 2 updates delivered since SP1. SP2 is an currently an optional update from Windows Update site. After some time on Windows Update site, SP2 will also be offered via Automatic Updates (AU) ( 43 MB Vista , 47 MB 2008 )

The prerequisite for installing SP2 – Your operating system, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista must have Service Pack 1 installed.
