Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13, you’ll be able to choose a username on a first-come, first-serve basis for your profile and the Facebook Pages that you administer by visiting www.facebook.com/username/
To be exact – Facebook is allowing users to assign a name to the tail end of the URL that comes up for their pages, replacing the random number that appears there. Facebook expects this would make it easier for people to find and connect with you. For me, this would help in identifying fake or real accounts and it’s cool to have a username then a id number. If you haven’t got your favorite Google Profile Username, this is the time to grab one.
