Symantec has released live betas of Norton Internet Security 2010 and Norton AntiVirus 2010 codenamed "Quorum". Norton AntiVirus 2010 will be the fastest and lightest malware scanner Symantec has ever delivered. Norton is using a new way of detecting the validity of applications through a reputation system in which data is gathered from the millions of users worldwide that choose to anonymously contribute data to the system.
Both are available free to the public as Norton is planning on having all of their flagship products compatible with Windows 7 once it hits general availability. The final versions are expected to launch in the autumn of this year.
Don’t install these on your primary OS as these are very much in early phases. The beta’s only good for 14 days (though it claims on the download page to be good for 30 days), so keep that in mind if you want to try it out.
