bing logo No matter you’re a PC or MAC, you can bing too. lol.. enough. Bing is a new site in an attempt by Microsoft to sidestep the Internet search giants Google, Yahoo by claiming to provide a different service and experience.

Microsoft defines bing as “decision engine” that has intuitive tools to help customers make better decisions, focusing initially on four key vertical areas: making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business.

Some things about bing, thing about bing.. lol..

  • Microsoft apparently plans to spend $80 to $100 million for promotional advertising. Google Search for Bing brings up Bing official ads.
  • Bing uses technology from Powerset (a search technology company Microsoft acquired), Farecast ( airfare pricing comparison site Microsoft acquired ) , Live Cashback, Maps

Google Chrome Ads in TV, NyTimes, LinkedIn and more

Chrome is the most advertised product from Google. They have even made some series of Great video ads which are being advertised including NyTimes.com. Google Japan also started advertising in television channels and soon coming in a TV near you. Watch the below ad that lets you play the 11 Chrome-related short films recently uploaded at YouTube. Chrome doesn’t have MAC version and no support for your favorite extensions.

firefox logo Firefox released 3.0.9 just last week on Tuesday that patches 12 security vulnerabilities, four of which it rated as critical. And today, they released an update ( to 3.0.10 ) which fixes major stability and one security issue. Two fixes in less than a week is bit scarier and reminds – is Firefox overrated, but yet they are so quick in addressing the issues and no wait for Patch Tuesday.

Get ready to Download Windows 7 RC on May 5

The Microsoft’s Partner Program site accidently mentions that Windows 7 RC would be available for public download on May 5th while MSDN and TechNet subscribers can download now. Currently the Windows 7 RC has not been available through the TechNet subscription yet, only the Microsoft OEM partners such as Dell, Siemens are taking part in the RC’s this period of test. This release candidate would be would very similar to the Windows 7 Final.

UPDATE :  Microsoft has confirmed Windows 7 RC will be available for download on April 30th for MSDN and TechNet subscribers. Broader, public availability will begin on May 5th.
